Frequently Asked Questions

What is Continuous Enrollment?

Continuous Enrollment is the commitment families make when joining Lighthouse Christian School that a student will remain enrolled continually year-to-year until they successfully complete the 12th grade or choose to opt out of the agreement during a designated opt out period. This default agreement allows us to make solid plans for staffing, programs, materials, curriculum, and facility usage.

What does it mean for my family?

Continuous enrollment is a convenience for families who are committed to having their students fulfill their education at Lighthouse Christian School. In other words, you will not have to manually opt-in each year. Instead, all current families are part of our continuous enrollment program and will complete a continuous enrollment packet. The annual enrollment fee still exists and will be due in order to submit the continuous enrollment packet.

What do I do if I want to Opt Out?

There will be an annual opt out deadline of March 1st. Families who choose to opt out of the following year’s enrollment prior to that deadline receive no financial penalty. Selecting “Will not enroll” from the continuous enrollment packet will notify the admissions department of an opt out.

What if something changes after the Opt Out Deadline?

Families who notify us of a change in enrollment for the following year by the beginning of July have already paid the non-refundable enrollment fee but will not be charged any tuition for the new school year. Families who notify us of a change in enrollment for the following year before the first day of school will be responsible for the non-refundable enrollment fee and July and August tuition payments. Any change in enrollment following the first day of school becomes a withdrawal.

What if I can't pay my enrollment fee all at once?

Contact our admissions team and we will work through the finance office to see if there is an option to split your payment.

What if I want to pay my student's tuition in one payment?

That's fantastic! You can contact our admissions team and we will work through the finance office to adjust your bill. You can also always pay more than your monthly payment and your overall balance will be automatically adjusted.

Can I still apply for financial assistance?

Absolutely. We are still happy to offer a limited amount of financial assistance based on each individual family's needs. Applications are available through FACTS Grant & Aid. Contact our admissions team if you have questions.
