We are excited to announce the hire of Mr. Clint Hostetler as our new Director of Christian Life and Fellowship.

In this role, Mr. Hostetler will be working within the school leadership team to facilitate the collaboration among Bible class, Koinonia, chapels, retreats, and discipline (discipleship). He  is a vibrant leader who will connect with students, excite a room, and lead in a cerebral and expository way to ensure students understand truth and walk in it.  Mr. Hostetler has served numerous roles within a couple different churches during his time in California.  Those roles include worship and student ministry across all ages.  Taking a like minded approach to student mentorship, discipleship, and spiritual facilitation, Mr. Hostetler will work with elementary and secondary students to establish relationships, walk alongside student challenges, and support them from a biblical perspective. His storied transformation and walk with Christ will relate well to the pressures that students face today. We are extremely excited about this new position and believe it will make a tremendous impact on the school culture.  The Hostetlers have a wonderful story about how God started pointing their lives to Twin Falls a year ago, with no intention for affiliation with Lighthouse.  However, God’s plans are good, and He has connected us in a way that will bless our school family.

This position will play an important role in our desire to continually create an educational experience that is student formulated and teacher facilitated in a Christ-centered environment.  What does that mean?

Student Formulated

We want our students to be active participants in the learning process and life of the school.  Passive participation does not adequately fulfill their learning needs nor does it prepare them for future employment roles.  Students should learn soft skills, the ability to ask questions, challenge thinking, defend their thoughts respectfully, and innovate. This will be formulated from a servant leadership perspective.

Teacher Facilitated

We want our teachers to empower student engagement, step away from the front of the room, ask thoughtful questions, promote meaningful learning, and lead students to establish their thinking with biblical principles in mind.

Therefore, it is imperative that we are intentional about the culture we create within our classrooms, hallways, athletic arena, performing centers, and school community.  It must always remain focused on the cross and the gift of life offered through Christ’s sacrifice.  We are excited to approach this Christ-centered environment through three collaboratives:

  • Director of Christian Life and Discipleship
  • Koinonia (more to come on this exciting addition)
  • Bible Class/Candella Project (outlined in a recent Lighthouse Look; find on website)

Please welcome Clint Hostetler along with his wife, Dannielle, and son, Eli.
