School Board of Directors

Mike Bosma - Chairman

I am a dairyman/dairy processor in the magic valley area. I’m married 32 years to my beautiful wife and best friend Rachel. We have been blessed with a large family including 8 grandkids to date. Our entire family has been involved in various ways at LCS for more than 20 years and we plan to stay committed to the school for years to come. I have served on both the LCF and LCS boards of trustees. I have also been a deacon at the reformed church, a LCS football and golf coach over a combined 15 years. Today I serve on the newly founded board of directors as acting chairman at the school. I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for LCS.

John van Vliet

I'm John van Vliet. My wife Jana and I have been married 37 years and we have four adult children who are all graduates of Lighthouse Christian School. I served as football coach at LCS from 2004 to 2013, the last six years as head coach while serving as Athletic Director from 2008 to 2013. We have been involved at LCS for nearly 25 years and want it to thrive well into the future.

Rob Smith

My name is Rob Smith. My wife Florence and I have two boys in the elementary school at Lighthouse. We have a firm belief in Christian education, and it is the desire of our hearts to help continue building a Christ-centered, God led school in the Magic Valley. As a member of the board, I am excited to play a part in fulfilling what God has planned for LCS. Go Lions

William De Jong

Hi, I'm William De Jong. I have been married to my wife, Renee, for 26 years. We have three children, Sabrina, Kaden, and Ella. The two oldest have graduated from LCS and our youngest, Ella, is currently a senior. I've been involved with Lighthouse Christian School for 10 years and I am currently serving on the school board.  I'm looking forward to seeing what God has planned for the future of Lighthouse Christian School.

Lisa Heida

My name is Lisa Heida. I have been married to my husband, Dave, for 18 years and we have two children, Ryan and Annalise, who attend Lighthouse Christian School. I currently serve as the secretary for the board of directors. I am committed to Lighthouse and eager to see how God uses LCS to impact our students and the community  in which we live.
